Remembering Christ’s Sacrifice

Dear Friends,

When John the Baptist first met Jesus, he recognized the Holy Spirit in him and made it known who he was. Jesus was the Messiah and would become the sacrificial lamb for God’s children to have everlasting life. In this season of rebirth, let us show how you have brought new life and hope through $65,000 in Mission Society grants last year:

  • Health Care Assistance to FamiliesFranciscan Education & Assistance Association (Anápolis, GO, Brazil)  Health care, travel to appointments, meals & hygiene kits for families experiencing poverty.
  • Give Food to the HungryMenino Jesus Community (Anápolis, GO, Brazil)  Food, medicine, utilities assistance and hygiene & cleaning supplies for 12 families.
  • Evangelize through MusicFSA – Brazil Region (Anápolis, GO, Brazil)  Engage people to develop the art of singing & playing instruments in parish activities.
  • Transforming Lives through EducationSt. Francis of Assisi Educational Center (Palmas, TO, Brazil)  Textbooks & educational supplies for students in need.
  • Roof RepairAlvernia Preparatory School (Kingston, Jamaica)  Repair roof of Grade 6 classroom and roof above stairwell.
  • Maternity Health Care NeedsMaganja da Costa Hospital (Maganja, Mozambique)  Curtains to separate beds, sinks to wash material used in delivery room and hospital clothes.
  • RISE (Rental Assistance)Brunswick County Homeless Coalition (Brunswick Co., NC)  Provide 4 families with rental assistance to keep existing rental housing and prevent homelessness.
  • Expand House CapacityGenesis House (Olean, NY)  Renovate office space offsite to expand capacity in the house for 4 more bedrooms for people experiencing homelessness.
  • Sandwiches for the HomelessHoly Cross Parish (Springfield, MA)  Ham, turkey and cheese for 400 weekly sandwiches.
  • Car Seats for Families in NeedMadonna House (Neptune, NJ)  15 infant/toddler car seats for families.
  • St. Anthony’s GardenSt. Anthony’s Hospital (St. Petersburg, FL)  Creation of pathways for the community garden to improve accessibility for individuals with disabilities.
  • Children’s ServicesSt. Francis Community Center (Long Beach Island, NJ)  Outdoor play equipment for children.
  • Food SuppliesThe Warming House (Olean, NY)  Food supplies to support 360 weekly meals to those who are hungry.
  • Pathways for Liberation Through EducationUnited Interfaith Action of Southeastern MA (Falls River, MA)  Computer equipment & supplies for a community improvement program.
  • Good Food to GrowVirtua Health Foundation (Marlton, NJ)  Provide bags of food to families to promote healthy eating.
